Is it true that 2nd pregnancies come early?

I am 38 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child. 2cm dialated and doctor can feel his head. No signs of labor though. With my 1st child I delivered on her due date. Everyone keeps telling me that I will have my 2nd child early. UMMMM.....HELLLLOOOOO.......I only have 14 more days until my due date....... did any of you actually have your 2nd child earlier than your due date, or did you actually go over?
