When did Americans change their mind about circision?

Americans are pretty equally divided on the subject, actually. Pediatricians and OBGYNs no longer suggest that it be done, it's a purely personal decision for the parents, and you'll find that people are very opinionated on one side or the other. It was originally done to limit the amount that boys masturbated, but was actually found to not hinder it at all. There are pros and cons for both sides, and anyone having a son should educate themselves on the subject so that they can make the proper decision for their son and their family.
