Need reccomendations on baby eagle choice.?

Going to buy a baby eagle, need to choose between one in 40 S&W and on in 45 ACP. I want to be able to aim from far away, so I cant have that much recoil, but I'm worried the 40 inst strong enough. Which caliber would be better?
