What size shoe should i buy 11.5 or 12?

i have a pair of nikes in an 11.5 which fit basically perfectly but with little room but i am looking to buy a new pair but i am not sure if i should buy a 11.5 or a 12? i do not want them to be too big but i also would like a little bit of room. what size should i buy? (US size)
