How did you get your baby to sleep after weaning from feeding?

My baby was alittle over 7 months old when we had to quit nursing due to lack of supply. He adjusted really well. It didn't phase him at all. Instead of nursing him to sleep, I just hold him in my arms closely while giving him his bottle. Now that he is 9 months, not all of the time will he drink himself to sleep, cause he is a lively little guy. When he does that, I just let him play alittle longer and then he eventually does fall asleep in my arms :)
